What you'll need

• A soft brush (horsehair or similar)
• A damp, clean cloth
• Leather grease or wax suitable for full-grain leather
• A water-repellent treatment (spray or wax)
• Shoe trees or scrunched-up newspaper (optional, to hold the shape)

Step 1 — Cleaning

Brush off loose dirt and dust first. Then wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth for a fresh, well-kept look. Lukewarm water works best — let the boots dry at room temperature afterwards to keep the leather supple.

Step 2 — Feeding

Using a cloth or brush, apply a thin layer of leather grease or wax in small circular motions. Extra attention to the seams and toe keeps the leather supple there too. Let it soak in for 10–15 minutes, then buff off the excess with a clean cloth. Repeat every 4–6 weeks for leather that keeps looking great.
